Translation Agency Diction Launches in Finland

From the month of April 2022, Finnish businesses and private individuals will be able to order translations from the Finnish branch of Diction. 

This development is taking place as part of Diction’s wider expansion within the Nordics which means that by the end of 2022 Diction will have a presence in all of the Nordic countries. Diction has already established its business in Denmark, Sweden and Norway – and over 2022 the company has plans to open branches in Finland, Iceland and Greenland as well.

The Right Time to Expand
Martin Boberg, CEO of Diction, says: “After many years working with Scandinavian clients we have built up a solid network of Finnish translators and so at this juncture, launching on the Finnish market feels like the obvious thing to do. I am delighted to be in a position to take this next step in our growth journey as a business. The timing is right for us. We are currently well established in our home markets and this means we have resources available to undertake further expansion. We have made a concerted effort to strengthen our Finnish team with the right skills and local knowledge. In preparation for our entry into the Finnish market we have also hired our first Finnish employee, Saara Winter”.

Recruitment of a Finnish Project Manager

Saara Winter will be the company’s first Finnish employee and she will help Diction to launch on the Finnish market. As a Project Manager, one of Saara’s primary responsibilities will be to handle all contact with our clients in Finland – both business and private customers as well as public-sector clients. In addition, she will also play an active role in the localisation of Diction’s Finnish website.

Saara has previously worked as a Localisation Specialist & Team Lead for Danish e-commerce company MakesYouLocal and she has 13 years of experience with the international travel company KILROY. Saara holds a master’s degree in marketing from Turku School of Economics in Finland where she also minored in English. She has also studied English translation and interpreting.

Launch of both Diction & Legalisering

As part of the establishment in Finland, Diction will be launching both a diction.fi domain and legalisering.dk which specialises in providing legal translations. Legalisering.dk was launched with great success in Sweden and Norway in 2021 and is expected to be online in Finland from the month of June 2022.
